Secrets of Fatima and the next worldwide war

More than 100 years have passed, it was 1917 when in Portugal in a mountain village in the municipality of Fatima a 10-year-old girl, Lucia Dos Santos, witnessed several Marian apparitions and the keeper of a secret divided into three parts that it would have been communicated by the Virgin to save humanity. This story is commonly referred to as “The Secrets of Fatima”

The incredible part was the announced miracle that more than seventy thousand people witnessed. In addition to the faithful there were also some scientists and the press who later reported what they had seen and described an event still unexplained today of a “dancing sun”.

The revelation of the secrets of Fatima was long and complicated if we think that the text of the last secret was communicated only in 2000 by Pope John Paul II, while it was directly indicated by Lucia that “By express order of Our Lady this envelope can be opened only in 1960” but all the popes who have succeeded since then have not taken on the responsibility of revealing it.

The first two parts contained prophecies inherent in the first two world wars, announcing the end of the first world war, in progress at the time of the apparitions, and the beginning of the second which would end with the “conversion of Russia” followed by a period of peace.

We come now to the third part, because, now more than ever, the previous interpretations are also questioned, considering also that there is the suspicion that it has not been fully disclosed.

I write in obedience to you, my God, who command me to do so through his Excellency the Bishop of Leiria and through your Most Holy Mother and mine. After the two parts which I have already explained, at the left of Our Lady and a little above, we saw an Angel with a flaming sword in his left hand; flashing, it gave out flames that looked as though they would set the world on fire; but they died out in contact with the splendor that Our Lady radiated towards him from her right hand: pointing to the earth with his right hand, the Angel cried out in a loud voice: ‘Penance, Penance, Penance!’. And we saw in an immense light that is God: ‘something similar to how people appear in a mirror when they pass in front of it’ a Bishop dressed in White ‘we had the impression that it was the Holy Father’. Other Bishops, Priests, men and women Religious going up a steep mountain, at the top of which there was a big Cross of rough-hewn trunks as of a cork-tree with the bark; before reaching there the Holy Father passed through a big city half in ruins and half trembling with halting step, afflicted with pain and sorrow, he prayed for the souls of the corpses he met on his way; having reached the top of the mountain, on his knees at the foot of the big Cross he was killed by a group of soldiers who fired bullets and arrows at him, and in the same way there died one after another the other Bishops, Priests, men and women Religious, and various lay people of different ranks and positions. Beneath the two arms of the Cross there were two Angels each with a crystal aspersorium in his hand, in which they gathered up the blood of the Martyrs and with it sprinkled the souls that were making their way to God.

In the official interpretation it is connected to the attack against John Paul II, when on May 13, 1981 he was hit by a bullet, potentially fatal, which however would have been deflected by the intervention of the Madonna thus saving the life of the Pope. Surely this event played a fundamental role in this whole affair, since it led Wojtyla to be ever closer to the cause until the decision to reveal the third secret.

But are we really sure that the moment described in the text coincides with the 1981 attack? That the “bishop dressed in white” was John Paul II? What if he was talking about a third world war?

Something seems never to have been clarified and the possibility that the words of the third secret depict an event that has yet to happen remains.
