In the theater of the absurd that contemporary geopolitics has become, a new act unfolds before our eyes. No longer David versus Goliath, but a sophisticated chess game where the powerful sacrifice pawns with glacial indifference.
Putin’s latest move is as brilliant as it is revealing: offering the United States access to Russia’s immense reserves of rare minerals. A gesture that not only sweeps away Ukraine’s last shred of strategic value but definitively tears the mask from a farce that has dragged on for too long.
The grand orchestration
What we’re witnessing isn’t simply a war between Russia and Ukraine. It’s the execution of a meticulously orchestrated plan by Washington, London, and Moscow with a crystal-clear objective: the annihilation of Europe as an autonomous geopolitical actor.
The Russian invasion of Ukraine was never primarily directed against Kyiv. The true designated victim has always been Europe: economically depressed, politically Balkanized, stripped of any decision-making capacity on the international chessboard. A continent reduced to vassalage, incapable of self-determination, forced to watch helplessly as its future is decided elsewhere.
Putin’s about-face
And here’s Putin, the apparent sworn enemy of the West, showing his true face: that of the sycophant, the accomplice in a bigger game. With surgical timing, he declares:
“Russia possesses resources of this type much larger than Ukraine. We are one of the undisputed leaders regarding reserves of minerals and rare metals.”
Words that sound like a confession: the Russian-American antagonism was merely a convenient fiction. Behind the scenes, the elites of both countries have always shared the same interests, sacrificing entire populations on the altar of power.
Zelensky: the abandoned puppet
In this macabre drama, Zelensky emerges as the most pathetic figure. He believed himself to be a protagonist when he was merely a temporary puppet, useful as long as needed, now brutally discarded. His naive insistence on demanding “billions without conditions” now appears in all its tragic futility.
When Trump coldly told him, “You don’t have the cards,” he was simply announcing the end of his usefulness in the script. Putin, with his offer to the Americans, simply put the final period.
Europe: the true victim
While the world’s eyes were fixed on Kyiv and Moscow, the true victim lay elsewhere. Europe—fragmented, energetically blackmailed, economically paralyzed—saw decades of building its strategic independence evaporate in mere months.
Sanctions against Russia ended up hitting European economies harder than Moscow’s. The energy crisis decimated the continent’s industrial competitiveness. And now, with Putin’s offer to the Americans, even the hope of building a European critical minerals supply chain through Ukraine vanishes into thin air.
The cannon fodder: one million lives destroyed
The curtain falls on this theater of atrocity with a terrifying toll: one million victims. One million battered bodies. One million existences ground up by the machinery of war.
Eighty thousand Ukrainians dead. Four hundred thousand wounded. Two hundred thousand Russians buried. Another four hundred thousand mutilated, disfigured, traumatized. Numbers that aren’t just numbers, but people. Mothers who will never see their sons again. Children who will grow up fatherless. Entire communities emptied, decimated, psychologically annihilated.
The cannon fodder of the 21st century is no different from that of the trenches of the Somme or Stalingrad. They’re the usual bodies of the usual children of the people, hurled into the same mass graves for generations. While Putin and Trump, like new czars and new emperors, exchange diplomatic courtesies over their heads, bargaining rare minerals at the price of human lives considered infinitely less rare.
The truth is this: Ukrainians aren’t dying for Ukraine, Russians aren’t dying for Russia. They’re dying to guarantee the hegemony of Masonic Power, so it maintains its post-imperial influence, allowing all the most powerful actors—Moscow, London, Washington, Beijing—to keep a place at the banquet. They’re dying so Europe remains weak, divided, subordinate.
And the economic, financial, and military powers that orchestrated this massacre are already ready to toast together, to divide the spoils of a devastated continent, laughing up their sleeves at the credulity of those who still believe in war propaganda. While in the background, a million families mourn their dead in a deafening silence that no offer of rare minerals can ever fill.
The fatal interval: toward the perfect storm
Don’t call it peace. Call it a “commercial break.” Just as the 1918 armistice was merely a prelude to the 1939 slaughter, any ceasefire in Ukraine will simply be the antechamber to a more ruthless, calculated, definitive massacre.
This is the true masterpiece of Anglo-American-Russian strategy: war in installments, the systematic and methodical destruction of Europe in convenient decennial payments. Because the lesson of History is this: the old continent, however devastated, always has the unfortunate tendency to rise again. And this, from the perspective of the new empires, is unforgivable.
The next act, the one that will begin in ten years, won’t be aimed at removing some eastern region or conquering some strategic corridor. It will be designed to definitively annihilate any remaining European ambition for autonomy. It will be the final thrust, the coup de grâce to a continent already on its knees.
And we, blind and deaf Europeans, will applaud the armistice as if it were a victory, celebrate the truce as if it were peace, only to wake up one day—in ten, fifteen years—to the sound of treads in the east and new fleets in the west, while our destiny will have already been written elsewhere, in English and in Cyrillic, on letterhead from multinational corporations that no one dares name.
This continental war in installments is the magnum opus of the Washington-London-Moscow triangle: the slow, methodical, surgical annihilation of the only competitor potentially capable of challenging them. Don’t call it tragedy. Call it execution.
